The End of the Djinns is an Algerian film set in a small Kabyle village, seen entirely through the innocent eyes of a six-year-old child. When the Algerian War of Liberation erupts, it slowly dismantles the mythological fabric of his childhood, forcing a confrontation between imagination and brutal history. The film is a tender and poetic exploration of how war strips away innocence and how traditional Kabyle culture and storytelling are transformed — or lost — in the fires of colonial conflict.
