Threaded (Sutra) is a short Arabic drama that follows Faisal, a young man defined since childhood by his indecisiveness. Each birthday, his mother knits him a sweater in a different colour — each shade representing a different path his life might take. The film uses these colourful threads as a quiet metaphor for a mother's unconditional hope: her belief that whichever direction her son chooses, he will find his way. Gentle and visually expressive, Threaded is ultimately a tender portrait of maternal love and the gentle weight of a parent's unspoken wishes for a child still figuring out who he is.
