Sukoun (Amplified) is a short Arabic drama following Hind, a young and dedicated karate athlete who navigates life with a hearing disability. The film traces Hind's internal journey as she struggles to reclaim her strength, her self-worth, and her sense of belonging. Quiet and carefully observed, Sukoun uses the world of competitive sport as a lens through which to examine themes of bodily autonomy, psychological recovery, and the particular resilience demanded of those who are doubly marginalized.
