Overview

One Minute is a Palestinian short film set during the devastating summer 2014 war in Gaza. In the ravaged neighbourhood of Shujaiya, 37-year-old Salma has transformed her home into a refuge for herself and her young daughter, clinging to a fragile sense of safety amid the destruction. Then a single text message arrives, warning her of an imminent and inescapable fate. Pared down to its essential elements, the film captures the unbearable tension of life under bombardment and the cruel arithmetic of survival — where everything can change in the span of one minute.
