Safar Barlek is a Lebanese historical drama set during the Ottoman occupation of Lebanon around 1914, when imperial forces conscripted men into forced labor. When Abdou is arrested on his way to buy an engagement ring for Adla, she embarks on a perilous journey to find him and crosses paths with resistance leader Abou Ahmed. Together with fellow villagers, Adla joins the underground effort to smuggle wheat to starving communities under Ottoman blockade. The film is a stirring portrait of love, resilience, and national resistance against colonial oppression.
Safar Barlik is a 1967 Lebanese musical and war film directed by Henry Barakat. The film stars Fairuz, Nasri Shamseddine, Huda, Assi Rahbani, Berj Fazlian, Salah Tizani and Salwa Haddad. It was filmed in the northern villages of Beit Chabab and Douma in Lebanon.
