Overview

Inner City Story is an Egyptian drama film that follows a traditional folk music and dance troupe whose leader spends years searching for a daughter she lost long ago. Before she can find her, she passes away, leaving her troupe to carry on the search. Their quest eventually leads them to Sharm El-Sheikh, where the young woman is working as a Western-style singer, entirely unaware of her roots. When she discovers her family has been searching for her all along, she returns to the troupe to honor her mother's legacy — setting off a chain of events that transforms everyone involved.
