Overview
Samir Abu El-Nil is an Egyptian comedy film starring Ahmed Makki as Samir, an incorrigibly stingy young man whose tight-fistedness turns everyday life in his popular neighborhood into an endless source of conflict. His miserly ways and abrasive manner have earned him the scorn of virtually everyone around him. When his cousin Hussein Abu El-Nil (Hussein Al-Imam) comes into a large inheritance, Samir seizes the moment to launch a satellite television channel, using it as an unlikely platform to air his complicated and contentious relationships with the neighbors he has spent years alienating.
