Overview

Nyerkuk is a dramatic short film following a displaced child who becomes entangled in crime alongside an older, more experienced thief. Caught between poverty, vulnerability, and the pull of wrong choices, the boy participates in a burglary that raises urgent questions about his future: will this be his last criminal act, or the beginning of a darker path? The film handles its young protagonist with sensitivity and moral seriousness, using his story to examine the social conditions — displacement, poverty, lack of protection — that push children toward crime. A quietly powerful short with a deeply human core.
