The Bandits is a Moroccan drama that opens with overwhelming grief descending on a wealthy Casablanca family. When the household's devoted servant travels to America in search of their long-lost son, he makes a startling discovery in a poor neighborhood: a man who bears a remarkable resemblance to the missing heir. Determined to bring some measure of comfort to the grieving family, the servant devises an elaborate and morally complex plan to pass off this look-alike as the son they have been mourning. A story that navigates the blurred lines between deception and compassion, loyalty and desperation.
