Overview

Nasser and the Ticket is a charming Qatari short film set in 1973, the day football legend Pelé played a match at Doha Sports Stadium. Young Nasser is desperate to witness his idol in person, but he is trapped in an Arabic language class with a teacher whose patience is not to be tested. His quest for a ticket becomes a delightful series of obstacles that capture the universal childhood experience of wanting something with every fibre of your being. The film is a warm celebration of football's power to unite people across generations and borders, told through the innocent determination of one boy and his impossible afternoon.
