Bye Bye London is a farcical Egyptian stage comedy built around an elaborate web of cheerful deception. A man invents a serious illness to justify a pleasure trip to London, sending word ahead to his nephew there that he is coming for medical treatment. The nephew, taking the story at face value, prepares to care for his supposedly ailing uncle — only to find himself chasing a man who seems far more interested in late-night entertainment than hospital visits. When the ruse threatens to unravel after the man flees the clinic, the nephew is forced to send an urgent message to his aunt back home, escalating the chaos in every direction. The play mines its comic premise for a relentless series of misunderstandings and mistaken intentions.
