HARRAGA – Those Who Burn Their Lives is a Moroccan documentary that follows four young men — Imad, Nourdine, Walid, and Hamza — living in a cave beneath the lighthouse in Melilla, the Spanish exclave on Morocco's northern coast. Stranded between two worlds, they pass their days in a fragile routine of waiting: taking drugs, making video calls to their mothers back home, and filming themselves attempting to break through the harbor fence for YouTube. The film offers an unflinching, deeply human portrait of undocumented migration, youth desperation, and the dangerous dream of crossing into Europe.
