Overview

Leila Fil Qamar (A Night on the Moon) is an Egyptian romantic drama about a woman trapped in the quiet despair of an emotionally neglected marriage. Her husband, a preoccupied banking expert, leaves her feeling invisible and adrift in a midlife crisis. A chance encounter at a shopping mall with Coco Shabana — a young, charming film director — disrupts her routine when he expresses his admiration and offers her the lead role in his new film. Suddenly faced with a world of possibilities, she finds herself torn between loyalty to her marriage and the intoxicating pull of rediscovery. A nuanced portrait of longing, identity, and the roads not taken.
