Overview

Les chenilles is a drama film that follows two women from the Levant living in exile in France, who meet as waitresses and gradually forge a tentative friendship. Against the backdrop of the ancient Silk Road's legacy of exploitation, the film draws powerful parallels between historical and contemporary forms of oppression. At its heart, it is a story of female solidarity and the comfort found in shared experience — a quietly moving portrait of displacement, resilience, and the solace that human connection can offer in a foreign land.
