The Time of the Comrades is a Moroccan drama set in northern Morocco at the beginning of the 1990s. Rahil, a young man fresh from his baccalaureate exams, defies his family's wishes and enrolls at university, where he finds the campus increasingly shaped by the growing influence of Islamist movements. A small band of union activists is holding its ground in resistance. Among them is Said, a charismatic and brilliant student who throws himself into the struggle with total conviction. Drawn by admiration and something deeper, Rahil must decide whether to commit to the fight or remain a bystander as history unfolds around him.
