Overview

Karam the King is an Egyptian street drama led by Mahmoud Abdel-Mughni in the title role. Karam is a small-time appliance shop owner from a poor neighborhood whose life takes a dangerous turn when he gets drawn into the drug trade. His world collapses further when he becomes the prime suspect in a crime he didn't commit, forcing him to flee his community and embark on a desperate mission to clear his name. Blending gritty urban tension with a compelling personal drama, the film follows one man's struggle for justice against a system stacked against him — a standout performance anchoring a vivid portrait of Cairo's underworld.
