Overview
Captain Anoush is an Arabic social comedy series following Anoush, a passionate football devotee who played in the youth ranks of Al-Ahly Club before his father's death forced him to shelve his sporting ambitions and shoulder his family's responsibilities. For years his love for the game is channelled into watching every Al-Ahly match on television, in stadiums, and through newspapers and magazines. When he is handed the chance to coach a team in an amateur league of grievances, Anoush sees it as his unlikely shot at living out his football dream from the dugout. The series blends warm humour with authentic working-class Egyptian life and the universal passion for the beautiful game.
