Overview
Local Dog is an Egyptian comedy film starring Ahmed Fahmy as Rocky, a young man raised alongside a street dog named Fresca after being abandoned by his mother as a baby. Having nursed from her, Rocky grew up with an inexplicable set of dog-like abilities — a razor-sharp sense of smell and a physical instinct for pouncing on opponents — gifts that have made him an unlikely but effective thief. His unusual talents catch the eye of Lieutenant Baligh, who recruits Rocky for a special undercover operation targeting the dangerous criminal Warda Al-Halwani, played by Akram Hosni. What follows is a fast-paced and absurd comedy-action adventure that takes its wild premise and runs with it all the way to its chaotic conclusion.
