Shake It, Man! is a dark comedy-thriller set in the chaotic aftermath of an Arab Spring revolution, where impunity reigns and anything goes. Sultan, a small-time crook with big ambitions, concocts a scheme modelled on the Star Academy talent show to fleece aspiring young performers out of their money. His plan unravels when a shadowy armed group — operating under a religious cover — snatches the evening's earnings. The men then lose the cash on their way out, setting corrupt police chief Hedy on a desperate chase. A fast-paced collision of con artists, fanatics, and bent cops, the film uses sharp comedy to skewer opportunism in post-revolution societies.
