Overview

Ghashash is a sharp and entertaining Arabic short film that follows Sulaiman, a high-school student wrongly accused of cheating on his Arabic language exam. Facing a zero grade instead of his rightful score, Sulaiman sets out on what seems like a straightforward mission: convince the vice-principal of his innocence. But the path proves far more complicated than expected, with bureaucratic obstacles and human stubbornness turning a simple matter of justice into a comic odyssey. The film offers a witty commentary on institutional distrust and the frustrating experience of being right in a system designed to assume the worst, told with warmth and a light comedic touch.
