Very Big Shot, is a 2015 Qatari movie, directed by Mir-Jean Bou Chaaya, and starring Alain Saadeh, Tarek Yaacoub, Wissam Fares. with a runtime of 107 minutes.
Very Big Shot is a Lebanese dark comedy-drama set in the backstreets of Beirut, where a modest pizza takeaway doubles as a front for a small-time drug operation run by brothers Ziad and Joe. When their younger brother Jad is released from prison — having served time for a crime actually committed by Ziad — the family dynamic shifts. Guilt-ridden and eager to go straight, Ziad dreams of channeling his savings into opening a legitimate restaurant of his own. But extricating oneself from the drug trade is never as simple as walking away. The film deftly blends social realism with sharp black humor, painting an intimate portrait of life on the margins of Lebanese society and the complicated loyalties that bind family members to choices none of them fully chose.
Very Big Shot is a 2015 Lebanese black comedy film directed by Mir-Jean Bou Chaaya. It was screened in the Discovery section of the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival. The original soundtrack was composed, arranged and produced by Michel Elefteriades.
