Overview

Brake is a short film that transforms a mundane everyday scenario into a philosophical meditation on free will and predetermination. A young man finds himself trapped inside a moving car on an endless road, the monotony broken only by a dawning realization: his actions and movements are not his own — they are being programmed by an unseen, unknowable force. His efforts to escape become a metaphor for the human struggle against invisible constraints. Through a tight visual style and rich symbolic language, Brake asks whether breaking free is ever truly possible, or whether every choice we think we make is already written. A compact, thought-provoking piece of Arab short cinema.
