Overview

Fata Morgana is a documentary short set in Qatar that observes the invisible daily existence of Abu Husain, a truck driver living on the margins of a rapidly modernizing society. Like countless guest workers who fuel the Gulf's construction boom, Abu Husain spends endless hours in a self-contained loop of waiting, standing, and persistently moving heavy loads. The film is a meditative portrait of migrant labor — its quiet rhythms, its grinding repetition, and its profound invisibility — offering a human face to those who build the skylines of cities that rarely acknowledge them.
