Fajr, is a 2019 Moroccan movie, directed by Lois Patiño. with a runtime of 12 minutes.
Fajr is a poetic short film set in the vast expanse of the Moroccan desert, meditating on the transition from darkness to first light. The film opens with night dissolving form and silence drifting through the sand, before dawn gradually sculpts silhouettes of dunes and restores dimension to still figures dotting the landscape. When the adhan — the Islamic call to prayer — rises across the desert, the concentrated stillness transforms into a radiant spiritual energy, and the human bodies themselves seem to dissolve into the infinite space. A luminous work where nature, faith, and cinema converge.
