Petra is a historical adventure film set in the ancient Nabataean city, following the crisis that erupts when the King of Petra departs to wage war against the Romans, leaving his queen Shakila to govern and their young daughter, Princess Petra, in her care. The arrival of two Roman soldiers — Patricius and Laius — under the guise of storing treasure quickly turns sinister when they abduct the seven-year-old princess and hold her hostage. Queen Shakila must now navigate a dangerous political and military situation alone, fighting both to protect her throne and recover her child. The film blends historical spectacle with family drama against the backdrop of one of the ancient world's most iconic landmarks.
