Boqat Faqarah is an Arabic social drama about a family born into poverty who carries the weight of their father's lifelong dream: founding a comprehensive medical center to serve their community. After a string of failed business ventures drains their savings, the children find themselves with nothing left — and make the drastic decision to rob a bank in order to finance their father's vision. The film is a morally complex exploration of desperation, filial devotion, and the impossible choices that poverty forces upon ordinary people who dream of something greater than their circumstances.
