Tartanji, is a 2011 Kuwaiti play, directed by Alaa Morsy and Naoman Hussein, and starring Tariq Al-Ali, Dawood Hussein, Amal Abbas. with a runtime of 260 minutes.
Tartanji is a Kuwaiti comedy production built around Shayea, a guileless character who blindly follows whatever people say without questioning the purpose or consequence, setting off a chain of farcical situations that grow increasingly funny as his naivety compounds. The play enjoyed successful runs across several Gulf cities, including three performances at Dubai's Indian School Theater during the Dubai Shopping Festival in February 2012. The cast features Tariq Al-Ali, Dawood Hussein, Maryam Hussein, Amal Abbas, Shehab Al-Hajiya, Sultan Al-Ali, Sultan Al-Faraj, Muhammad Bash, and Hani Al-Tabakh. The script was written by Ayman Al-Hubail and the production was directed by Alaa Morsi.
