Supermarket is an Egyptian social comedy that traps a diverse cast of characters inside a shopping center after a catastrophic event in the city center cuts off all exits. Forced into unexpected proximity, the group's social masks begin to slip — exposing simmering family tensions, economic anxieties, and personality clashes. What unfolds is a comedic yet incisive portrait of Egyptian society, using the confined setting as a pressure cooker that reveals the best and worst of human nature when people have no choice but to deal with one another.
