Young Lovers is an Egyptian comedy-romance film following three friends — Eid, Mimmas, and Bijama — who are sacked from their jobs at a cinema and left to drift. Eid, coddled by an overly indulgent father and longing for a real love story, stumbles into one under the most chaotic circumstances: he witnesses journalist Noha being chased by gangsters, recovers her mobile phone, and arranges to meet her — only for her car to accidentally knock him down and rob him of his memory. His doctor's prescription for recovery is to recreate the exact events of the day of the accident, setting off a series of increasingly comic attempts by his father and friends to piece together who the mystery girl was. Meanwhile, Noha is pursuing a dangerous exposé of a corrupt businessman who will stop at nothing to silence her, weaving action and romance into the film's freewheeling comedic energy.
