إذا الأرض مدوّرة is an Arabic social comedy following a conscientious driver who takes pride in his work and his integrity — but struggles under the impossible weight of his family's expectations. His greedy wife makes demands far beyond what his modest income can meet; his academically failing son perpetually asks for more; and his daughter openly mocks the profession that puts food on the table. The film builds its comedy and its pathos from the father's exhausting attempts to satisfy everyone at once, using sharp humor to expose the gulf between middle-class aspirations and working-class reality. A relatable and wryly observed portrait of everyday family life in the Arab world.
