Overview

Ashtar is an Arabic drama series that traces a young woman's journey through loss, betrayal, and self-discovery. When her parents divorce, Ishtar goes to live with her grandmother — the one constant in her unsettled life — only to face a deeper grief when the grandmother passes away, leaving her the family home. Her boyfriend seizes on her vulnerability to trick her into signing the property over to him, leaving Ishtar with nothing. Taking refuge with her aunt, she discovers that her voice is the one gift no one can take from her, and is introduced to the world of art and performance.
