Overview
Arouss Al-Phurate (Bride of the Euphrates) is an Iraqi drama series following Nazima, a determined young woman who flees her hometown of Diwaniyah after her stepmother Sabriya turns her father against her. Arriving in Baghdad with little more than her resolve, Nazima confronts loneliness and hostility in equal measure as she carves out an independent life for herself. The series explores themes of female agency, social injustice, and the personal cost of self-determination in a society where a woman's worth is too often defined by others. With a compelling central performance, Arouss Al-Phurate is a moving portrait of resilience, tracing one woman's journey from displacement to dignity in contemporary Iraq.
