Land of God is a Moroccan dark comedy that pits bureaucratic absurdity against the solemnity of death. Her patience is further tested by her hapless colleague Hassan, nominally in charge of the paperwork, who confesses only after reaching the second home that he has muddled the coffins: each family has received the wrong body. With their idle intern in tow, Malika and Hassan must untangle this grim mix-up while grappling with a surprisingly profound moral dilemma — does the comfort of the living outweigh the sanctity of the dead? The film balances sharp comedy with genuine emotional weight.
