Overview

Obvious Offside is a Moroccan thriller set on a tense winter night when two nations compete for the final qualifying spot at the FIFA World Cup. While city streets lie eerily deserted as everyone follows the crucial match, a lone driver navigates the empty roads and two police officers track the game on their patrol car radio — until the transmission abruptly cuts out. That moment of silence sets off a chain of unexpected events, blending the communal drama of football with a quietly menacing storyline that unfolds in the shadows of a city holding its breath.
