Overview
Silent Sighs is a sensitive Moroccan drama set in a working-class coastal neighborhood, where Younis, a 28-year-old man with autism, lives alone with his fisherman father Idris. Trapped within his own inner world by his condition, Younis is largely left to himself while Idris spends his days at sea. When Idris is present, he applies the only approach he knows — a traditional, well-intentioned but limited understanding of his son's needs. The film quietly probes the distance between a father's love and his capacity to truly reach his child, exploring themes of isolation, parental helplessness, and the invisible weight carried by those on the margins of family and society.
