The Blue Lake is a poignant Moroccan drama following Yussef, a blind twelve-year-old orphan who lives with his grandparents in the arid landscapes of southern Morocco. When his grandfather gives him a camera as an unexpected gift, the two set out on an epic road trip across the desert in search of a legendary blue lake said to shimmer at the heart of the wilderness. The film is a tender meditation on sight, wonder, and the bond between generations, as a child who cannot see with his eyes learns to capture the world through an entirely different kind of vision.
