Blue Dive is an Egyptian short film set in the Mediterranean city of Alexandria that contemplates the mysterious bond between human beings, the sea, and death. Three strangers meet by chance in a hospital corridor, each scarred by the blue sea: Mokhtar, a painter living with schizophrenia who sees in color the face of death; Salim, a diver obsessed with the deep, now dying in a hospital bed; and Dalia, a nurse haunted by the memory of her father's drowning. A poetic and melancholic meditation on mortality, obsession, and the sea's indifferent pull.
