Overview

Al Khourouj An Al Nas is an Egyptian drama that traces the fall of a film director from artistic ambition to moral compromise. Deep into production on his latest film, the director is blindsided by a devastating financial crisis that leaves him with no conventional way out. Cornered and desperate, he turns to drug trafficking — a decision that irrevocably alters the course of his life and career. The film uses the world of Egyptian cinema as a backdrop to explore themes of integrity under pressure, the blurred line between survival and crime, and what a person is willing to sacrifice when ambition meets desperation.
