Overview
Al Azhar is an animated historical series that traces the founding and evolution of Al-Azhar, one of the most important Islamic institutions in the world. Beginning with its establishment in 972 AD under the Fatimid commander Jawhar al-Siqilli, the series chronicles the early decades of this great center of Islamic learning, including the founding of its renowned school by Yaqub ibn Killis.
