An Egyptian popular singer and actor, whose family belongs to Tahta in Sohag Governorate. His father and three brothers came from Upper Egypt and settled in the village of Sindbis. His talent for singing began to appear, especially while working in one of the textile factories in Shubra. There he met the head of the stoners (Mustafa Morsi), who took care of him and adopted his talent and taught him the art of improvisation. After that, he began singing on the birth of Mrs. Zeinab and Hussein, and one time radio broadcaster Taher Abu Zeid heard him. He was asked to come to the radio and was approved by the radio after passing the test with distinction in the committee that included Taha Hussein, the radio personality Muhammad Hassan Al-Shuja’i, and the violinist Anormansi. He began participating in his cinematic works in 1956, and among the most prominent works he participated in were (Ambassador Aziza, Duaa Al-Karwan, Viva Zalata, Struggle in the Mountain). He died on November 12, 1996.
