Director and screenwriter, he joined Studio Misr in 1940, where he initially worked as an assistant director with a number of directors, including Hassan Al-Imam, Hossam El-Din Mostafa, Fatin Abdel-Wahab, and Mahmoud Zulfiqar, until he directed alone in the film (Prisoner of the Night) in 1963. He also went through production experience in several works, including (Conflict on the Nile) and (Green Threshold), among his most prominent works (Beware of Men, Mama, Odeh).
