Hassan Kafta began his artistic career by working as an extra in an artist’s film (Saad Abdel Wahab) was ten years old in 1948. After he failed in education, he had no choice but to work with his father as a plumber boy. Hence, the director (Mukhtar Hussein) discovered him while he was in the workshop and offered him to work in the movie (Bread and Salt), followed by a role in the movie (They Made Me a Criminal) by the late Farid Shawqi. He did not continue working as an extra in Egypt for long. He traveled to Lebanon and then the Emirates and worked there as an engraving contractor. He was accused of forging the passport of one of his friends. He was sentenced to long imprisonment and then released, which made him return to Egypt full of delusions and sadness. After that, he continued for more than fifty years to perform roles in various artistic works between theater and television. He participated in several works, including (The Danish Experience) and the play (The Savage) by the artist Mohamed Sobhi and others.
