
Actor and theater director, born in Cairo in 1934. He obtained a Bachelor of Commerce in 1955, then a Bachelor’s degree from the Institute of Dramatic Arts in 1956, before traveling to study theater directing in London in 1962. He then returned to Cairo and worked as a professor at the Institute of Acting. The beginning of his artistic career was through theater, where he participated in directing and acting in the play (Harvest Nights) in 1967, after which his works continued between... Directing and acting, most notably the play (King Lear) in 2001, and the series (Umm Kulthum, Man in the Age of Globalization). He passed away in 2013 after a struggle with cancer.
