Overview

Tunisia Clash is a bold documentary by journalist and filmmaker Hind Meddeb that plunges into the heart of Tunisia's controversial rap scene and its volatile confrontation with state authority. Following rapper Weld El 15 — who is evading police while awaiting trial — and his fellow artist Phenix, Meddeb captures a raw cross-country journey spanning working-class suburbs in south Tunis to the sweeping desert plateaux of central Tunisia. More than a music film, it is a portrait of youth dissent and artistic resistance, revealing how Tunisian rap has evolved into a powerful voice against repression and social inequality.
