Overview

Holes is a Saudi psychological thriller that builds its tension through fractured time and careful silence. Rakan and his wife Rim are searching for an apartment to escape living with his elderly mother — a seemingly ordinary domestic arrangement that quickly unravels. A hole smashed into the wall of their prospective flat, a stream of unwanted phone calls, chance run-ins with shadowy figures, and Rakan's own eerie disconnection from those around him slowly coalesce into a darker story. As the film moves fluidly between present and past, the truth emerges piece by piece — culminating in a violent confrontation when his mother is attacked and Rakan is forced to face the very person he has been desperately avoiding. A taut, slow-burn thriller anchored in domestic unease.
