Greetings to Kamal Jumblatt is a Lebanese documentary paying tribute to the Druze political leader Kamal Jumblatt, founder of the Progressive Socialist Party in 1949 and a towering figure in Lebanese political life. The film traces his arc from kingmaker — instrumental in ousting President Bechara el-Khoury in 1952 — through his ministerial roles under President Fouad Chehab, his growing alignment with Palestinian organizations after the 1967 war, and his emergence as leader of the Lebanese National Movement during the civil war. His fierce opposition to Syrian intervention in Lebanon preceded his assassination near a Syrian checkpoint in 1977.
