Overview

Our Master, Al Sayed is an Egyptian period drama set in Upper Egypt during the 1940s. Abd Rabbo, an irrigation inspector from Cairo, arrives in the remote village of Al-Sayed on a routine assignment, only to find himself in an entirely different world. The village is under the quiet but absolute rule of Fadloun Al-Dinari — a mysterious, larger-than-life figure known as 'Sayed' whose influence over the locals borders on the mythical. Fascinated and unsettled by what he witnesses, Abd Rabbo begins to document his experiences in a personal diary, recording the customs, characters, and enigmas of this village he never expected to find. The series is a richly atmospheric exploration of power, tradition, and the collision between old Egypt and modernity.
