Overview

Struck is a documentary made one year after the devastating Beirut Port explosion, directed by Sarah Kaskas as a personal reckoning with trauma. Unable to process the event in linear terms, Kaskas assembles a collage of fragmented memories — shards of before and after — layered alongside the voices of fellow survivors. Together, they attempt to work through a grief that is both intensely private and profoundly shared. The film transforms the wreckage of August 4th into a space for collective mourning, bearing witness to a city's wound and the long, uneven path toward healing.
