Overview
The Beach of Lost Children is a Moroccan drama that centers on Mina, a young woman with an intellectual disability that clouds her judgment and leaves her vulnerable. After a taxi driver assaults her and she accidentally causes his death, she buries him beneath a pile of sea salt to conceal the act. When she discovers she is pregnant, her elderly fisherman father and loving stepmother shield her from the world — the stepmother going so far as to feign the pregnancy herself so she can claim the baby upon birth.
