Psycho (Saiko, 2018) is a Syrian satirical comedy series starring Amal Arafa in five distinct roles. The story centers on Wasal, a young woman whose pathological honesty lands her in relentless trouble with everyone around her. When she stumbles upon a CD exposing a network of powerful corrupt officials, she becomes their prime target — wrongfully committed to a psychiatric hospital while her identical twin sister assumes her identity on the outside. What follows is a wildly funny chase spanning Syria and Lebanon as Wasal fights to reclaim her name, her freedom, and her life. The series is a sharp, laugh-filled commentary on hypocrisy and institutional corruption in Arab society.
